Introduction of NET teacher
Hello everyone,
My name is Daniel, and I am the NET teacher at Shek Lei Catholic Secondary School. I am originally from South Africa and hold a degree in English, as well as two master’s degrees in education. I have been teaching English internationally for many years, specialising in helping English as a Second Language (ESL) learners build their confidence and skills in using and studying the language.
I teach regular junior form English classes, as well as speaking lessons that focus on essential assessment skills, such as the TSA for junior form students and the SBA for senior form DSE students. Additionally, I offer supplementary speaking lessons for various year levels.
I also lead extracurricular activities and coordinate entries for various speaking, writing, drama, and film competitions available to students in Hong Kong. I have received a warm welcome from both teachers and students at Shek Lei Catholic Secondary School, and I am committed to giving my best to our students throughout the upcoming academic year.
