News The Speech Festival
It is good to see that so many students are willing to improve their English through participating in Speech Festival every year.
In 2019, 50 students participated in the Solo Verse Speaking, Prose Reading and Dramatic Duologue and two S.2 classes participated in Choral Speaking of the 71st English Speech Festival. Due to the cancellation of some events, only 32 students and one class could participate in the competitions at last. Lee Addison (3C) was the first runner-up in the Solo Verse Speaking while Lee Chun To and Siu Chun Ping (5B) got the second runner-up in the Dramatic Duologue. 25 students got Merit.
Congratulations to all students! English Speaking Day English Speaking Day is held on Thursdays. Students can participate in a wide variety of activities including Word power, Shall we talk, oral practice, forum, festive event activities and activities organized by English Ambassadors. They also host the morning assembly and the lunch time ‘Shall We Talk’ counter. Students who participate actively will be awarded book coupons! To see photos, click here. Interviewing the Tourists Every year, our S.2 students are asked to do a project on interviewing tourists in English. It is a great success! Students enjoy such all-round learning experience very much. They are given the opportunity to use English outside classrooms and in an authentic situation. However, the project was cancelled this year due to the school suspension.
